CAD is dead. It is good for backgrounds but often not geospatially referenced. The tools we have gone beyond beyond vector based design. Those "old-school" die-hards need to embrace the future. Getting a vector from a full and robust BIM is the future across all dimensions of delivery.

I have come to the conclusion that people should stick with one software platform and not be bilingual. If you try to know multiple software you will not be as proficient if you just stick with one platform.

I always feel that fear myself, but I trust my knowledge and abilities to see the project through. So, if you're feeling afraid, believe in yourself and your skills! Remember, fear is a common emotion, but confidence in your capabilities can help you push through.

Starting a new project is the hardest part. Personally, I like to start off with a rough sketch by hand and then transfer that into CAD. It takes a lot of the pressure off as the customer also inputs their requirements into your rough sketch.

To address this, breaking the project into smaller tasks and using first principles thinking can help. This approach allows for setting more manageable milestones with achievable deadlines. What I can honestly say is, don't let your fears block you. I speak because I was a victim of this fear, it froze me and I was unable to return. So if anything wants to stop you, don't allow it, at all costs if necessary, your skills are there and you are capable.
