Here's how you can confront your boss when they take credit for your computer repair work.

In my experience, I never confronted my boss or who deal the work with clients. As it is a manual work on site, I show my best to the clients and gain their trust, advertise my work and personal branding. Whenever my boss tried to take the credit, the client told that they know the true story and next time they deal with me without any 3rd party interference.

In my experience, a person that, takes credit for someone else's work, almost every time, is a habitual offender of workplace misconduct and specifically stealing work accomplishments or taking credit for work they did not do. Whether, a person in management or a coworker, when I see this happening, I give a warning to the person, if a warning does not correct their workplace misconduct, I then let the HR department or a department leader know about a person's workplace misconduct, which I have done, a few times a different business' I have worked for. I am an advocate, for people standing up for themselves at work, as standing up for myself is something that I will always do and have always done in my 15 years of work experience.

Rather saying it evidence, I can say it documentation, I personally give my client a format of certification where they abide by some terms and conditions and put their sign and same goes for me. Provided information regarding warranty, type of job, some suggestions, bills, other terms and conditions, easy user guide with demonstration, dos and don'ts, ideal usage etc.

If someone want to steal the credit of others, I don't think they are worthy to talk to. So, planning for a commutation is worthless, rather I will communicate with the clients or where I worked.

In my experience, the people who always take others credit never changed with communication, they get encouraged by that. Confronting clients directly is the best approach which worked for me.

In my expertise, that type of person always try to push others down and never agree with shared credit as they think they are superior. But if someone agree to credit share system, I do it happily and relationships works for longtime even after resignation.

I also suggest, that a person read a business' polices periodically throughout the year, as business' update polices periodically. Usually, when a business updates their policy the person that made any policy updates or the HR department will notify the employees and people in management as if a person does not receive any notification or notice of policy updates then there are possible legal ramifications if something happens to a person at work.
