If you work for a Salesforce CRM partner, they value Salesforce Certifications because of their Trailblazer Scorecard, which makes THEM more valuable to Salesforce and helps THEM get more projects and drive revenue. So, partners always have certification goals for employees, and you can earn more certs helping your employer increase its Trailblazer Scorecard and get more revenue-generating opportunities from mothership. You can use this as your bargaining power in salary negotiations. If you don’t work for an implementation partner, this wouldn’t be your bargaining power. So, consider where you work and what YOUR EMPLOYER values, and bring THAT value to the table when negotiating your salary.

Experience is the key. It shapes your ability to perform your job better, and brings you to the table with a unique perspective on how to solve a client's challenges. I would argue that this is more valuable than certifications as this is something that cannot easily be repeated or replaced.

Experience above CRM usage is needed, such as domain experience, as well as the AI integration. Also, the knowledge od other clouds such as Data Cloud to deliver the complex solutions.

Be very careful going by market insights because you may discover YOU are overpaid already. Instead, focus on YOIR value and growth, showcase YOUR contribution to the business, and advocate for YOUR self because on the marketplace, salaries aren’t adjusted for company size or type (privately-held or publicly-traded) and people’s educational backgrounds (do YOU have an MBA, an Master’s in CS, or a PhD that some high earners have?!). Don’t bring the comparison into the conversation. Instead, make the conversation about YOUR contribution to the success of this particular business (your employer).
