I really feel like this article is for me. As an animator and game designer, I can share my point of view. A clear brief and good references are essential for any artist to stand out. The first step to collaborating with an animator is to provide clear guidance and well-defined guidelines. The second step is to grant creative freedom. Animators are artists, and their creativity arises from the freedom to experiment. Give your animators space to be bold with their animations. Every detail is necessary, and with them, the animator works magic. In my first job as a game animator, I learned how to work correctly, but without losing my creative freedom. And that is why, to this day, I bring good results.

One thing I have found helpful is to ask frequent questions about your shots. It doesn't hurt to get different sets of eyes while working. It happens alot that you can't figure out what wrong in your shot. Also giving constructive feedback allows you to learn what things you might have missed in your on going shots

Is it an animated gif or a sprite? what a device can do or not do it is critical to the scope of a project.
