I do quite a bit of mentoring in the Cyber field whether it's internal colleagues looking to make a career change, requests on LinkedIn, or my affiliation with the military and helping those folks transition. You can also use LinkedIn to reach out to people currently working in these positions to better understand what their job description is. Skills : for normal person it is just a word but in cyber security it is the most valuable thing, if you have right skill set you don't even need any Certification and high-end education but many students who is starting their career in cybersecurity started learning nmap scans ?? what does it mean if you ask some person why nmap with normal user take more time to complete scan than root user, they don't have answer keep remembering commands and running 1 command against every host doesn't make you Professional, you need your fundamentals clear before diving into so called hacking stuff.

When it comes to Certifications / Education they play huge role if you're looking for entry level position some of the most demanding Certifications including but not limited to, CEH, OSCP, eJPT, PNPT, CRTP etc. but doing any of these Certifications doesn't guarantee that you'll land your dream job as i always told your skills matter more than any Certifications, but Certifications provides a support to your career and HRs are always looks for relevant Certifications in your resume.

Je conseillerais plut?t de vous distinguer de la masse en ajoutant des cordes à votre arc : challenge CTF, articles de blog, contribution à des médias, participation à des événements. Montrez que vous n’êtes pas juste un CV mais une personne immergée dans son écosystème.
