Learning is a process with no ending. The only way to become an expert in a field is to learn, unlearn, and relearn. Keeping to trends and staying relevant and valuable in the market. Most product designers tend to only be aware of the technical part of product design which is to create appealing and usable products but that's not all. To be an efficient product designer one has to learn about the business part of product design and tech generally. This is another process of learning that I think every product designer has to dive into.

Here are some strategies to help you maintain a habit of continuous learning: 1.Online Courses and Tutorials:Platforms: Use platforms like Coursera, Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, and Khan Academy to find courses on product design, CAD software, UX/UI design, and more. 2.Certificates: Pursue certifications in tools and methodologies relevant to product design, such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or UX/UI design. 3.Books and Journals:Books: Read books by industry experts on design principles, human factors, and innovation in product design.

Don't just learn apply, I know my bookmarks are filled with portfolio inspiration from all across the world. Start small, try recreating simple flows inspired from existing products, tweak them, test them. Learn how to make them delightful. Also don't limit yourself to hardcore UX, learn micro interactions, illustrations etc. You might use them in day to day but when building personal projects these can really help distinguish an everyday project from a seasoned one.

It’s important for designers to step out of their comfort zones in order to become fully well rounded in all aspects of product design. This will test creativity and resourcefulness, will also give more perspective on different types of users.

Diversified experiences in product design would broaden industry exposure by exposing one to different methodologies, perspectives, and challenges across various sectors or industries. Working at a consultancy for some time exposes you to different industries and different clients within the industry, helping you to get this broader perspective. However, I’d combine this with actually working in a product or service company as well, because it’ll help you to get more in-depth understanding of the dynamics of the business.

Understanding these areas strengthens your overall design thinking process. Think about how design principles can be applied in new industries. Best way to diversify your skillset is to learn more about the business you are building product for, how they earn, what is their USP, why the key metrics which matter to them matter? The more you learn about business, more your empathy will be for stakeholders and the better is your chance of creating products that get approved in jiffy.

Best learning is definitely done by teaching. I haven't taken a single product design course, purely helped out by my seniors from grad school and online communities, I am grateful to them cause without them my career wouldn't exist. Carrying the torch forward I do my part in helping my juniors explore this field and get hold of resources that best helped me. In turn I got to look at teaching as a UX process in itself where when applied principles in conjunction with tested knowledge are shared, you not only teach someone else but learn more about what your strengths and weaknesses are.

Keeping Calm and focused to get reflection over progress is a good approach in mode of Reflection and adaptation. I would say have plans in place to take pause at each step by going forward ?
