In my experience it’s best to be open to both positive and negative feedback. That way you will know what you’ve been doing right and what can be improved. I always look for routes of improvement no matter what I’m doing.

Active listening is an essential skill to activate when receiving feedback. Many will shutdown or become immediately dismissive when they are receiving constructive feedback. So yes, being receptive to feedback is important and the ability to active listen must also be present in order to truly understand/comprehend the feedback and then be prepared to take action.

At our work place different personalities are there each one with different potential..each one unique..so to avoid pitfalls keep the environment possitive with great moral boosting thought at the gate or cabin.. listening is very essential not only just listening but other one must my listener is interested iny talk,your body language,your facial expressions matters a lot.start communication with possitive note..find out the areas of improvement and ask the solutions from them only so they ,means employees don't feel offended.. focus on making them productive.. constructive discussion planning and implementation..make sure what they do they love and enjoy doing it..

Continuous learning, reflection and development is key to being a relevant and reflexive practitioner. Being open to feedback and being humble enough to accept that we may have something to learn is not only role-modelling great leadership but showing our junior staff - or for my work in particular my students and course participants - that I respect them and value their voice, experience and contribution.
