Let's just take a very simple example: News flash: Due to heavy rain, schools have been canceled for the next 3 days. For a child, this is awesome news. They get a surprise 3-day holiday. For a parent, this is a worrisome topic. What happens if it keeps raining this way? Is there a chance for a flood or a thunderstorm? ------ What I am trying to say with this example is: You need to understand your audience on an emotional level. What excites them, What makes them sad, What worries them, What do they dream about, What are their aspirations, What are their fears.

One of the most important parts of any improvement process is FEEDBACK. Can you speak without stuttering, mispronouncing words, or making weird "uhm" or "ahh" sounds? No? Why not? You have been speaking your ENTIRE life. Practice alone won't make you great at anything. It's practice + feedback that will take you places. I am not perfect myself, but I understand the only way I am going to get better is by: 1. Doing the work 2. Observing the results 3. Sitting and analyzing how I can improve.
