From what I've seen, reproducibility checks are often not performed. Most operators assume that their equipment performs properly, that the software spits out accurate data and that they are doing everything correctly. This is due to the fact that some UAV operators, especially those not operating under the guidance of surveyors or photogrammetrists, don't have the background or knowledge required to do proper error trapping and analysis. If a pop up window doesn't tell them there's a problem, they'll never know.

Understanding photogrammetry is essential for UAV mapping. It's so much more than "I has drone, I can map". Familiarity with photogrammetry principles aids in optimizing ground control point placement, correctly processing the data, and accurately analyzing the resulting product. There are TONS of business with absolutely no surveying, mapping or photogrammetry knowledge advertising UAV mapping services, many of which are putting out poor products without even knowing it. This not only make the industry look bad, but it harms the public.

If you are in the business of drone mapping, make sure to first understand the needs of your client: do they need "just" a map/3D model for marketing/presentations, do they need relatively accuracy or they need absolute accuracy for their project.
