I am a technical project coordinator with over 5+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry. I have worked with leading companies such as Tata Communications, and Hexaware, where I have delivered customer support services, worked on customer technical projects as Updating inventories through raising change requests and remedy tools to assign FE and work order management. My telecom engineering career began in 2005, primarily focused on PDH/SDH technology. Back then, PDH/SDH dominated the utilities network. Power utilities exclusively used SDH/PDH for sending trip commands. Data and IP networks were seen as slower and less reliable options compared to SDH/PDH. However, the landscape has shifted dramatically. Today, MPLS-TP reigns supreme in utilities networks. This perfectly exemplifies the constant evolution in telecom field. As engineers, we must embrace lifelong learning to stay relevant and adapt to new technologies like MPLS-TP, IP/MPLS, SDN, Virtualization etc.
