In my experience of more than 10 years working with a top-notch Cloud platform, especially in my country, Spain, I have seen a lot of resistance and fear towards moving to the cloud. We reassure our clients by sharing the extensive security measures we use and explaining the great advantages of working in the cloud with a SaaS. The client only has to worry about their service, not about upgrades in operating systems or databases, only and exclusively about their business. We, the Cloud providers, take care of the rest, continually enhancing security measures, access, and data protection.

From my experience, clients are provided with written assurance that the cloud provider will not access their data, except for reasons of force majeure. Additionally, clients can be allowed to implement protection mechanisms to prevent even the provider's internal employees from accessing the data. Technically, there are very powerful encryption solutions available. However, the most important aspect is to comply with the regulatory measures that impact this, such as LOPD or ENS (Spain), ISO27001, SOC 1 & 2, etc

In der Regel wird - zumindest in Deutschland - zuerst mit der DSGVO argumentiert, warum man nicht in die Cloud "darf". Anschlie?end wird auf den Einzelfall abgezielt, an dem das Internet ausgefallen ist und das interne System lief, weil es nicht in der Cloud war. Das sind aber alles Ausreden, die auch als solche direkt adressiert werden sollten. Cloud und DSGVO sind absolut vereinbar, die meisten Mailsysteme laufen unter Office365, dazu werden in vielen Unternehmen Teams, Slack etc. bereits eingesetzt, darüber werden sensible Informationen ausgetauscht. In solchen Diskussionen reicht, es ein konkretes Beispiel der Cloud-Nutzung aufzuzeigen, um dem Bedenkentr?ger seine Argumentation zu nehmen. Danach geht man noch auf Cybersecurity ein.
