This humility turns a challenger into a supporter. Seek Common Ground: Finally, I look for areas of agreement and build from there. Even when perspectives differ, finding mutual goals can help bridge gaps and refocus the team’s energy on what truly matters.

Whenever a Team Member challenges our decision we should be open to their views and should ask what is their Alternative Proposition and what is the underlying rationale and analysis they have to support their opposition to the original decision as well as for the Alternative Proposition. This should be helpful in resolving the differences and also would help to cover any aspect left out by us.

Assertiveness is an important skill to develop in professional environments. It is powerful, to act without anger and not being passive either. I agree that this attitude helps to establish your credibility and authority. An argument given ouy loud only shows how poor and inconsistent are the reasons showed. One of the first things I was taught during our onboarding program in my first structured employment was to confidently ask questions.
