You can set a positive tone by appreciating everyone's contributions and involving all participants in the decision-making process. Also, acknowledge the strengths of the naturally dominant team members. They might help coordinate group projects. Finally, it could be helpful to discuss the team dynamics together. This way, everyone, including more dominant members, can better understand how their approach affects the team and work towards a more inclusive atmosphere.

I encourage active listening, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and heard. Providing constructive feedback is also key; I share specific examples of how their behavior affects team dynamics and suggest alternative approaches. This helps channel their energy positively and fosters collaboration.

Every coach on your team should have some sense of empathy and understanding, so you should be able to speak with them openly about collaboration and things of that sort. If these standards aren't already in place, address it as soon as possible. Make collaboration commonplace, give a good reason for it, and listen to the perspective of others on your team too.

I would encourage the person to get involved with other team members for his own benefit. I would start with an appreciation saying I know you have more clarity than others however to learn more, to make better decisions and to get the support of other team members, we need to get involved first. Let's execute it as a team work, listen to others, understand their perspective, their mindset to learn how they think, and make collective decisions. If someone thinks that he/she is the smartest in the room then there's no learning for them there. I want you to improve on your team collab skills so you can be given more opportunities like that.
