If those values are clear and baked into the brand's culture, and successfully guiding organizational behavior, then they are doing their job. I'm not sure why "customer opinions" should matter. Unless... unless the brand values are not good values and causing the organization to behave in a way that is disturbing to customers. Then... then the organization needs to decide if they want to stick to their values and ignore customer opinion, or re-think their values and evolve their culture. Customer opinions may inspire change, or not.
