For me, i practice -clear communication prior to start -i try small incremental steps -i celebrate success, even if it is small -i try to lead by doing my own and show my team on the job

Going by the basic concept and eccence of Lean Manufacturing, the objective is very clear i.e. waste reduction or elimination of non value added activities. The crux of these is minimizing operating costs as the final cost of product is not in the hands of manufacturer. Cost is not a challenge rather cost benefits is the by product of Lean Manufacturing. The fundamental mistake which organizations make is start applying lean tools without understanding the principles and philosophy of Lean Manufacturing.

Algo que aprendí hace algún tiempo es que de inicio Lean es acerca de reducción de costos, pero con enfoque en la mejora de Seguridad, Calidad y Entrega. Parece una paradoja, pero mientras más control se tiene sobre el costo mayor es la capacidad de innovación y aprendizaje. Incluso algunos conocedores recomiendan provocar "Crisis controladas" como método para desarrollar Lean. Mi segundo gran aprendizaje con respecto al tema de los costos es que en un momento determinado has mejorado tanto la Calidad y la Entrega que el cliente está dispuesto a pagar un "premio" por tus productos o servicios. Como resumen en el corto plazo "Reduce costos" y en el largo plazo busca reconocimiento por un excelente desempe?o. Saludos. O.B.
