One of the kickers here is time… what happens when the person you negotiate with, and send the contract to, is no longer there? Who else is seeing any sort of paperwork, contract or agreement? New person comes along, finds a pic or content, and does whatever they want with it. I absolutely understand this topic, and respect why it’s a thing for a lot of photographers, but I’ve never truly been comfortable with the idea that the fee to take a photo gets used in one place, is different to the fee if it gets used in a different place.
