To ensure effective communication within the Software Testing team, we can implement regular meetings for updates, utilize collaboration tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams for real-time communication, maintain clear documentation of testing procedures and results, encourage open dialogue and feedback among team members, and establish a feedback mechanism to address any communication challenges promptly.

First of all before starting any sort of testing, the tester should be crystal clear in the functionalities that have to be tested along with all the possible edge /critical cases. Tester should ask the developer about the release documents before starting the testing so that he/she should have an idea of what features they have to test. After testing,they should also release the detailed document of testing results, attaching the screenshots of the errors in the functionalities, explaining the steps to reproduce those errors along with the expected behaviour of those functionalities.

Best bet here is to outline all of your needs through the most effective method, if it’s bug tracking all relevant details to be added through photos, videos, shared live with the team. Communication is key across the board from the BU, to PO groups and BA groups all the way down to the development team and QA. Everyone has to be on the same page. Refinement is key, requirement documentation is key, and finding the best way to communicate everything is important, whether it be a tool slack, teams, or in person, meetings, collaboration rooms and sessions.

Right Channels and tools are very important and effective if used wisely. It's key to have record of communication or minutes of the meetings. Future communicating to right channel or person will be more fruitful and save time. Every QA resource should know what is the right channel to communicate at the right time, sometimes a strategic decision is required for which it requires to communicate with PM instead development or technical team and vise versa. Systems like Jira are very important to manage issues and communicate over them as well as to communicate timely and effectively

This could range from instant messaging apps for quick queries, to email for formal communications, and project management tools for tracking tasks and progress. Unified Platforms: Adopt tools that can integrate various aspects of project management and communication to keep everything centralized, such as Slack, JIRA, or Microsoft Teams. This reduces the need to switch between tools and keeps all relevant information accessible.

Some examples might include email, video conferencing, face-to-face meetings, for different purposes and teams needs and preferences. Team communication is essential to make sure that all the team members are aligned with the project goals, roles and responsibilities, and timelines. Some of the team structures, roles and responsibilities might also be the reason for the selection of the type of the communication. At the current market, it is convenient to get any kinds of tools and there is a good chance that it might be overwhelming so usually a centralized system where the project management and the communication channels are synced are preferred.

Whether you are working with the testing team or you are a tester, communication plays a crucial role in defining the quality of the deliberables. Communication can be to and fro but the core part is the preciseness and how effective you communicate with your peers. We should always remember "Listen first and react". Before communicating, make sure we know the background and know about the topic that is being discussed.

Collaboration: It fosters collaboration among team members, including developers, testers, project managers, clients, promoting a shared understanding and collective problem-solving approach.

You need to keep channels open all the time and be proactive in communication, the first breakdown typically happens when communication isn’t prioritized. Team has to talk and collaborate on the end goal at all times.

I have found that making the team understand the bigger picture, the why of the project, makes collaboration easier. People are able to engage better when they understand the purpose. I belive that is your highest form of encouraging communication.

Remember, the best solutions often stem from collective effort. Make collaboration your competitive advantage. Encourage open dialogue, celebrate diverse viewpoints, and empower every member to contribute meaningfully.

Collaboration and participation is essential in every team. Members must be comfortable to collaborate and participate. You have to create a team spirit by involving every team member to every subject. You can encourage the team members to make suggestions and presentations

In addition to seeking for feedback, You need to give feedback to your team members regularly. This is a great way to show their strengths and weaknesses. Be careful, a feedback must be constructive. Otherwise, the feedback will be useless and communication will be difficult.

An example I’ve seen is communication in group chat on Slack and posting issues for the testing team to consider or in when there is a little downtime sharing info to move things along

New team members should undergo a structured onboarding process that familiarizes them with the project's goals, the technology stack, the workflow, and the tools in use. This process should include detailed documentation and hands-on sessions to bring them up to speed.

My advice is to consider that this set of advices may target any job title - what's special about the "Software Testing team" role in context of the mentioned things to be considered? I guess that linkedin's AI could consider to be less "A" when asking the important questions and more "I" when trying to target the broader audience. Now close your eyes and think that the following advices are about any job: 1. Define the scope and goals 2. Choose the right channels and tools 3. Communicate frequently and clearly 4. Encourage collaboration and participation 5. Adapt and improve 6. Here’s what else to consider Hoping, that AI sees it and takes it into consideration in the next iteration.
