Before starting to draft, review the design together as a team and keep sharing the updates; this way, all members are accessible and free to review/correct as the design is complete.

It is true, a good plan makes the whole project easier to manage. However plans change, people have different needs or emergencies. So in my back pocket there will be always a plan B to achieve the goal, overlapping skills that will cover the deliverables. Making sure the Project is a success is also key dependant on follow ups and asking the team on a regular basics if they need support or have roadblocks. Feedback is crucial as well to them, where needed to improve or modify, before presenting to the customer. Support while they take credit and the recognition is also part of a good leader skill set. Always value your team and support them to grow soft skills as well as engineering skills.
