For me, creativity is good but I tilt more towards the traditional/conservative. Colours, emojis/images & graphic designs are good but except you're a graphic artist/designer/brand creator, they can be distracting. Focus on what is important/allowed/professional for your industry/field. You don't want to work with a resume that might take plenty time to open/download/share/send across, due to file size.

A well-designed resume can leave a lasting impression. While visual elements can enhance your resume's appeal, moderation is key. Prioritize readability and professionalism over flashy design. Remember, the focus should remain on your qualifications and experiences, not on the aesthetics.

Forget worrying about resume styling or design completely. Content is KING on resumes period. Always has been and always will be King. A few possible exceptions: Graphic Artist etc. however these Artists were always going to be judged by their portfolio anyway. If you select a fancy resume template to start with it restricts the arrangement of your text and reduces the space available for interviewers' notes. Suddenly, the content is relegated to second or third place. That's unfortunate because you have to market and sell yourself effectively with your resume and CL to beat out thousands of other candidates and progress through multiple rounds of interviews to secure employment. There's only one winner in the race to get hired.
