Having a demonstrable example of your skill and, more importantly, your originality and enthusiasm for a project can be the most effective tool in showcasing your design prowess. Although I have a plethora of projects in GitHub, I would concentrate on the particular one that I consider my Magnum Opus if I were to be called upon to present. For example, for a number of years I have been developing a new paradigm of a data management system based on Category Theory. This system is built on top of Meta RocksDB and so also shows the ability to integrate with other open-source projects. It also showcases original work in creating a new type of data store on top of a basic key/value subsystem. Working code with integration and originality.
