Empowering learner choice can be tricky if the topics you are teaching are traditionally dry/difficult such as finance or accounting. Something that we found helpful was giving students 24/7 access to content as opposed to having to wait for a mentor to hop online. This allowed students to choose when to learn difficult topics. Such a small change increased concept retention and learner engagement. Has anyone had a similar experience?
