I would go one step further with this interaction and network by cultivating a long-lasting relationship with these new partners assuming they will also move upward and outward as their career progresses.

As a past Recruiter, I can attest to the fact that many managers hate to interview, but when they have a candidate (temporary or contract employee) on site. They have an opportunity to bypass the interview process should the temporary employee perform well and fit in with the team. It's a no-brainer to want to either extend the contract or convert them to FTE.
