According to me, one of the key challanges in meeting the project timelines is lack of clarity or requirements. There is always scope widenig and additional requirements during testing. As a PMO, the additional scope should be taken up as separate delivery phase of the project and stick to agreed deliverables without including new requirements on the fly.

The importance of planning cannot be understated, without a clear roadmap in mind the same task would take you twice the time if not more.
