This depends on various considerations from technical to financial! If someone searches for job vacancies on Linkedin, many posts will be shown that require Hybrid or cross-platform frameworks. The main reason behind these posts is to cut development costs to something about 50%! A startup can hire 10 hybrid or cross-platform developers to develop an application for both Android and iOS platforms (and even the architecture of both applications would be the same), instead of 10 Android developers and 10 iOS developers! But keep in mind that: 1- Something like cryptography is not the same in Android and iOS! so the code should be specific to the domain 2- Games and high-performance apps need to be developed natively

I don’t think choosing an IDE matters as much as choosing the right framework for your application. I would focus more on choosing the right framework for the product. Having a solid foundation goes a long way.

From experience, I don't think testing ever stops when developing an app. It is constant and 'always on'. How you perform your tests depends on your preference and that of your customer! What I've used in the past with my customers have included: 1. Emulators and simulators to replicate the behavior of different devices and platforms on my machine. 2. Cloud-based testing services that provide access to a wide range of real devices and platforms remotely. This lets me use real devices to test behavior and performance of my application. 3. Good old manual testing! Grab yourself a test phone and see how it performs! My own team used three generations of iphone and android. At the end of the day - use what works best for you and your team!

Code review. Every complex app has an architecture and every team member who is contributing to the codebase needs to be aware of it. Because team members have different skill levels, code review should be conducted before completing the feature to ensure code quality and prevent bugs. Also, use static code analysis to make sure the code is easy to review and fits the standards of the codebase. The larger the codebase and the team size the more all of this matters.
