Collect data on current spoilage rates, inventory turnover, and temperature conditions to establish a baseline. (Measure) 3. Use data to identify root causes of spoilage through techniques like fishbone diagrams and the 5 Whys.(Analyze) 4. Implement solutions such as optimizing inventory management (e.g., Just-in-Time, FEFO), using sensors for temperature monitoring, enhancing staff training on handling and storage, and improving packaging methods. (Improve) 5. Establish monitoring controls, regular audits, and SOPs to sustain improvements and ensure low spoilage rates. (Control)
