You’re struggling to engage your employees in training. How can you make it more effective?

Hay una cuestión básica e indispensable, al menos para nuestro país PY, la capacitación debe ser en el horario de trabajo y excepcionalmente fuera de el. Debemos entender de cuando alguien se capacita en habilidades técnicas o personales lo está haciendo para nuestra empresa, lo hace porque nosotros lo requerimos y lo necesitamos.

1. Focus on the content of the training it should be relevant and related to the filed. 2. Method of training should be interesting rather then monotonous. Provide some tools or software use some theme for effective result. It should be through some videos or slides. 3. Take regular feedbacks and monitor your employees closely. 4. Make a direct interaction with employees and give them chance to ask doubts etc. 5. Make this training part as the culture of organizations and motivate maximum staff to participate , offer them some perks and certificates . Let them be aware about their importance. 6..Make your training easy to access. Arrange training regularly but for short period of time so that it not become monotonous for employees.

The starting point is to understand the needs of the organization, which most people ahead of me have already addressed and answered very well. The next step is to ensure the audience is prepared to receive the training and engaged in the topic/module that will be delivered. That can be done with 1-to-1's or a simple 1-3 minute survey. Finally, look at your demographic and make sure that your method of communications fit. Don't reference old movies to younger audiences or make sports analogies with people that just aren't interested. In short, put your interests and beliefs in the back and bring that of the audience to the front.

Collect feedback on learning styles and incorporate different training methods to accommodate these. Ensure you have feedback mechanisms throughout your training program to continue to collect this to determine engagement during sessions, and adjust the content and delivery accordingly. Also consider: -flexibility in the delivery e.g. training schedule and format -motivation (do people want certificates? Peer learning? Could you gamify training? etc)

Consider incorporating interactive and immersive methods, such as gamified learning modules, virtual reality simulations, or interactive workshops, to make the training experience more engaging and relevant. Tailor the content to the specific needs and preferences of your workforce, utilizing multimedia elements and real-world examples to enhance comprehension. Additionally, fostering a collaborative environment and encouraging open communication can create a sense of community and motivation among employees. Regularly assess the effectiveness of the training program through feedback mechanisms and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement and sustained engagement.

No one-size-fits-all approach? Absolutely! When it comes to training, diverse formats cater to different needs. Consider these: Learning objectives:?What skills or knowledge do you want to impart? Budget and time:?What resources can you allocate? Audience:?Who are you training and how do they learn best? Context:?How will the training be delivered and accessed?

Training is a kind of session that needs to be done in every company, it plays a crucial role in every profiles. But we often struggle to engage employees due to various reasons. I usually make it very simple in this situation. -Make the training session more interactive. -Try to engage your employees with each other so that each one of them can learn from each other and can make them improve. -People usually learn by observing each other and then they start implementing -Interact with your senior/ trainer/ team leader, understand your loopholes, and ask them how to improve. Implementing these steps, you can see that they will start engaging with themselves

N?o podemos nunca nos esquecer que estamos treinando adultos e a melhor forma dele aprender é ele participar do treinamento. Quanto mais usamos do seu conhecimento, experiências, melhor ele irá absorver o conteúdo.

Use interactive collaboration tools. Even more so in online sessions. Take the opportunity to do group exercises, both online and in person.

En el ámbito de Recursos Humanos, es esencial reconocer la importancia de herramientas eficaces para potenciar la formación continua en las organizaciones. La adopción de tecnologías adaptadas a las capacidades de los empleados facilita el acceso a recursos de aprendizaje y promueve la participación activa. O processo de treinamento deve ser continuamente avaliado e ajustado com base no feedback dos participantes e nos resultados de aprendizado. Utilize ferramentas de avalia??o para medir a eficácia do treinamento em termos de aquisi??o de conhecimento, mudan?a de comportamento e impacto no desempenho no trabalho. Use esses insights para fazer melhorias contínuas no conteúdo e na metodologia do treinamento.

What training has been most useful? Which one do you recommend the most? Which trainer has sparked the most interest in the audience? Ask yourself questions about learning, continually measure and iterate.

Use gamification method. Create a mini/small tasks/games for each steps, and ask participant to follow and participate in each games. It should be embedded in the training agenda as well. For example: after each session, participants will be asked to do certain task and activities that reflect/practice what have been learned during training, and they will get certain points/merits by doing so. After each task or during the event, show leaderboard to boost the competitiveness amongst them. Then at the end of training, the winners are announced and there are some small appreciations - just to boost the hype. All those processes (including the leaderboard, etc) can be done either manually or using tools/systems, based on the needs.

All these pointers are good but one key step (which most training programs fail to cover) is involving the participants in the discovery process. Training’s when planned & designed in isolation attract little participation from the learners. These learners must be involved in the TNA and they must accept the gaps. Only then there will be the inner desire to learn new improve. The great training tools like simulations n games helps in increasing learners participation

To boost employee engagement in training, focus on creating interactive and relevant content. Incorporate hands-on activities, real-world scenarios, and encourage open discussions. Seek employee input to tailor the training to their needs and foster a collaborative learning environment. Providing recognition and incentives for participation can also motivate employees to actively engage in the training process.

One thing that has impact on engagement of participants is their "absolut" presence. This also count supports of their team from upper level to lower level altogether. In most session, I do found out many participants have to answer the call from their supervisor or subordinate or need to review some documents or sign them. Those can count as distraction to overall session and may impair their engagement. Being full presence in training means you may have most probability to keverage knowledge & skill and make it impactful to your job performance. Remember, training has only 10% impact of all development program, so just make the most of it especially if your company provides limited opportunity for social and on the job learning !
