My current client previously engaged a top social media agency that sent monthly reports showing metrics such as # of followers, # of likes etc. She couldn't find value in it and asked them to stop sending those through. Depending on the goals of your campaigns, focus on the metrics that have direct, evident correlations to your goals. One sales director can have 20,000 followers on LinkedIn but few converted to clients. Another can have 800 followers with his inbox full of DMs requesting to engage his services/buy his product. It's easy to focus on vanity metrics, don't make that mistake.
