In my experience, when the job does not have clear boundaries about working hours, like ours in Real Estate, I found it helpful to be available during business working hours, and any communication outside the same to simply go muted, archived or ignored. This can be a rule we clearly establish with clients and business partners at the first available opportunity. Nobody ever has complained about this, and on the contrary: everyone respects your right to disconnect.
