1 Know your strengths

2 Learn from others

You don't have to reinvent the wheel or do everything on your own. You can learn a lot from other fashion designers, mentors, peers, and experts. Seek out opportunities to network, collaborate, and get feedback from people who inspire you, challenge you, and support you. Ask questions, listen to advice, and observe how they handle different situations. You can also study the work of successful fashion designers and analyze their techniques, strategies, and styles. Learn from others, but don't copy them. Find your own voice and express it with confidence.

3 Set realistic goals

Having big dreams and ambitions is great, but you also need to have realistic and achievable goals. Setting goals that are too high or too vague can lead to frustration, disappointment, and loss of confidence. Instead, break down your long-term vision into smaller, specific, and measurable steps. For example, instead of saying "I want to be a famous fashion designer", say "I want to create a portfolio of 10 original designs in the next six months". 4 Challenge yourself

In the fashion industry, becoming more assertive involves practicing certain skills such as saying no when needed or wanted, asking for what you deserve or need, giving and receiving feedback, standing up for yourself and your ideas, saying sorry when you make a mistake, and compromising when necessary. Being assertive is not about being aggressive or rude; it's about being honest, respectful, and confident.
