I wd hire a person who might not have enough experience but high cadre of #attitude to learn. It is because knowledge can be gained but attitude is not something that is easy to change with training. Level of commitment in buying your idea of company and willingness to adapt company culture is critical. Like start-ups need a person who can give up his comfort zone to go extra mile in companies pursuit to achieve next growth. #Truth about candidate experience is key. Most of CVs are standard as it’s developed using Google rather real experiences. I prefer to hear from candidates about their challenges and small wins they had during their educational journey, internship or during initial years of work. I explain them about us philosophy.

Honestly, this is going to be pretty contradictory to this entire collective contribution article but what I would say is, I would absolutely no longer consider starting a business again. What I’ve learned from both starting businesses and buying and building existing businesses is it so much less work so much less grind to just buy something already established, and use the cash flow and innovate within that business that’s already established. Even for growing that current business, and wanted to add divisions or grow geography, I would still do it through acquisition because again you’re already buying something it’s already established and then you’re only work becomes integration, not gutting it out and trying to build it out.

Understand and be able to communicate your core values and how those play out in actions (because that is your culture). No matter how clear you are on the tasks that they will do, if there isn’t alignment in culture, they won’t last.
