Trying to keep up with every shiny, new trend can leave you short on mastering the important things. I say that because organizations don’t typically move at the same pace that trends do. Especially since the infrastructure and support that analytics runs off of can take a lot of resources and collaboration from the business. Focus on growing math/statistics skills, expanding your knowledge of visualization tools, or taking your coding to that next level. These base skills aren’t going anywhere anytime soon and there are always trends within them that’ll keep you sharp.
