The Arlington Talent Program cybersecurity cohort visited Amazon's state-of-the-art HQ2 complex in National Landing, and were enthralled by the energy-efficient and dog-friendly environment where their teams collaborate.?We even took advantage of the banana stand out front! Our team also had the pleasure of visiting the AWS Skills Center down the street to see how cloud computing has revolutionized weather forecasts, video games, and smart homes.?Thanks to Amazon's Jordan Tate and Gerald Brooks for welcoming us! #Exelaration #ArlingtonTalentProgram #ATP #ArlingtonVA #AmazonArlington #AmazonHQ2

We owe much of the Arlington Talent Program's success to our wonderful sponsors and partners. Over the last few weeks, our cybersecurity cohort has met with professionals throughout the region to learn what a technology career is really like. Last month, we enjoyed visiting with NowSecure, Deloitte, and Mandiant (part of Google Cloud). At NowSecure, we learned how their incredible tools and team keep mobile apps safe for all. The impressive team at Deloitte shared how they're helping clients secure their operational technology at water supply plants. Finally, the experts at Mandiant (part of Google Cloud) led a discussion on attacks, attackers, and zero-day exploits. These diverse and practical applications of cybersecurity are not only informative; they're inspiring! Thank you to all who make the Arlington Talent Program possible! #ArlingtonTalentProgram #ArlingtonVA #Technology #Cybersecurity

We've built software that advances disease detection, makes highways safer, and enables renewable energy. But Exelaration alumna Mashal Temory and VP of Mentoring and Growth Matt McHugh both agree on their favorite project: creating a new recruiting platform for the Peace Corps. I recently had the chance to speak to a cohort participating in the Arlington Talent Program about what a career in tech looks like. When I was preparing for this, it gave me time to pause and reflect on how important it is to continue one's education, and how difficult it can be to stay on top of this. Programs like this are needed to help our communities grow and prosper. It was a great experience, thanks Steve Cooper for having me out to speak with everyone and introducing me to this amazing program. More information here:
