SDR work often gets monotonous, hence getting the most out of the team starts with setting realistic and achievable goals. In my view - Checking weekly/fortnightly with the team if anything is bothering them - SDR growth path is often neglected. Having a clear path helps SDR focus and move in the right direction - Recognition - SPIFF or spot awards helps boost morale and satisfaction - Empowering them like an SDR helps a new joiner get up to speed, SDRs share their new ideas that generate client responses

Consider integrating goal-setting models like OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) to align individual goals with the company's vision. This approach encourages transparency and a sense of shared purpose.

- Focus on milestones rather than long term results. Weekly forecast calls really help measure results & motivation - Have regular 1on1 catchup's with your team. Drive results through coaching rather than training. - Lead by Example. Set the right behavioral expectations by following it yourself. - Operate with Empathy. Solve for challenges of resources, ideas & tools that can help them simplify their job - Get on the field & understand customer expectations regularly - Celebrate wins & achievements - Organize competitions, SPIFFs and regular contests.

To strengthen collaboration within the work challenge your teams to collaborate or projects outside of the work. For example have them plan and develop a team meeting agenda or a holiday celebration for the team. The pressure of “work performance” is no longer a driver and they can learn each others talents, areas of interest and styles. They will also develop empathy for each other in a way work project collaboration doesn’t always allow for. This as a result will create greater collaboration within the work.

Utilize collaborative platforms like Slack for informal interactions, brainstorming sessions, and sharing success stories. This not only improves communication but also builds a sense of community within the team.

Encouraging collaboration and communication via team meetings and discussions is important but there's going to be no value derived unless you have a culture of psychological safety and trust exists between your team members. When both are present, you will find you have a group that provides feedback, shares and learns from one another, and is able to make mistakes as they are seen as learning opportunities. And this is what will give your team a competitive edge.
