Honestly, the lack of time stresses me out, but I try to keep the lines of communication open with my team so we’re all aligned. I also delegate tasks effectively and make quick, the quality checks along the way, which helps us stay on track without compromising the final result.

When rushing to complete an installation, maintaining quality control requires clear processes and anticipation. I prioritize quality by ensuring materials and finishes are pre-approved and thoroughly checked before installation begins. Being present on-site during installation is essential, as it allows me to address issues in real-time and prevent costly mistakes. Additionally, I always build in a few extra days as a buffer for unexpected challenges, which ensures we stay on schedule without compromising the quality of the final outcome.

Something I found helpful to control quality of installation: 1. Material sample & prototype Chasing for check & approve on real material sample (to make sure the finishing) & prototype (to make sure about detail, technique, joint,...) before final production or installing on site. Aware contractor that if they don't do it, high chance that they have to bring it back to factory for fixing later. 2. Being on site On installing day for creative oversight, since there are often a lot of issues need to be solved while start installing on site which need designer's opinion, or it will be delayed, or wrong installed. 3. Have some backup Have 2 3 backup days is always nice for unpredictable issues. Can be more depends on scale of installation.

The key to maintaining quality is having a solid, repeatable process in place. It’s important to prioritize the critical details that will make or break the project while delegating tasks to a trusted team who understands those standards. Pre-installation checks and clear communication are essential to avoid last-minute surprises. In the end, it’s about striking a balance between efficiency and precision—knowing when to push for speed, but also when to slow down to ensure no detail is overlooked.
