Tim Sanders famously said, "Your network is your net worth", which is true. Therefore, having a big network makes you "wealthy". However, to continue with the financial analogy, would you rather have 1 M USD or 1 M VES (Venezuelan currency). One has not the same worth as the other, although at first glance both makes you a millionaire. The quality of your network has a bigger importance than the quantity. The one is the world reserve currency the other is not. The one high quality contact makes up for app. 36 other ones. The advantages of a high-quality network should always defeat the less qualitative network.

Utiliser son réseau personnel va vous demander de d'abord savoir vous présenter de manière simple et efficace afin de permettre à vos interlocuteurs (qui ne conna?tre pas votre métier) de pouvoir faire des connexions facilement (dans leur propre réseau), mais surtout de comprendre ce que vous faites pour pouvoir identifier les bons contacts pour vous.

Une bonne préparation à un entretien : avoir les idées claires sur votre manière de travailler, ce qui est important pour vous, quelles sont les étapes de travail (votre manière de travailler et comment vous le faites). Et surtout, d'éviter absolument de changer vos réponses parce que vous pensez que le recruteur veut entendre autre chose. Le mindset : "c'est de cette manière que je fais les choses. Maintenant, si une personne me propose une autre manière de travailler plus adapter et adéquates, à ce moment, je changerai".

As a project manager the Interview should be viewed as a project on its own. You wouldn′t want to be caught off guard and take too long to respond, as it is within an actual project. I haven′t seen a lot of applicants who actually also researched about the persons participating. That could be an angle which makes you more interesting than others.

Always make sure to showcase your biggest and best known projects, even if it doesn't seem to match the desired position or company. A project manager from life sciences could also be a good fit for for other industries as long as you are able to display superior key soft skills like leading, communication, problem solving or a high affinity for improvisation within the doable boundaries.
