I’ll practice KYA: "Know Your Audience." Let's say I’m presenting to our leadership team. I’ll tailor my presentation as best as I can to match their expectations, personalities, and the types of questions they typically ask. I’ll also reflect on my last presentation with them and apply any improvements needed.

I’ve seen it happen - smart people crumble under pressure, not because they don’t know the answer, but because their brain goes into overdrive. With my clients, I always teach this: 1?? Pause before you speak. A deep breath buys clarity. Rushing kills it. 2?? Lead with the answer. No backstory, no fluff. Say it, then explain. 3?? If you get lost, reset. Stop. “Let me simplify that.” Clarity over speed. I practice this myself, and it works. The secret? Slow down. Your thoughts will follow.
