In my opinion, job interview preparation = (showing) Passion + Interest Showing passion can be accomplished by preparing a portfolio of previous projects. Portfolios are a good way to showcase skills acquired over time. To show interest, it is important to research the company and understand how they work.

During any interview always be positive and energetic, show them how passionate you are about your field and how you solved some problems in your previous experience. At the same time always try to learn new things. It doesn't matter even if you fail the interview atleast you gained something from it even after failing. You can't learn unless you fail. Stay positive!

Researching the company is a key of not just seeing if you fit within the requirements they are looking for, it’s also to see if the company is a good fit for You. In my opinion understanding status of current contracts can show to some degree how their management works and how healthy the company is. Are they in good standing with their clients, are there any previous claims against them, etc... Recommend speaking to some current or past managers to get insight on the company’s work culture and weigh the possible Pros and Cons before approaching. If the company seems like a good fit for you, going in with knowledge of current projects, past performance & work culture can give you an edge when discussing relatability & common goals.

You have to do homework on the company. make them know that you can contribute in filling gaps (if you identify any) with your experience and knowledge.

prioritize the skills that have an impactful existence in your experience so you can talk about that during the interview. too many skills will only lead to confusion and you might miss to elaborate the best from you. showcase the specialty.

You should definitely highlight your skills that will help them achieve their vision of the company. Also describe the value your experience brings to the company.

? throughly research the company there recent projects completed. This will show your genuinely interested in the role available. ? discuss specific construction projects you have worked on in the past, highlight the most interesting aspects of the project you was most passionate about. ? Ask thoughtful questions about the company’s live projects/ processes and future goals. This will demonstrate your eagerness to learn and contribution. ? Let the interviewer know that you are passionate about a career in construction and why you are specifically interested in working for their company.

During the interview try to answer by discussing your past experiences. you might get the solution to your long-lasting problem during the discussion in the interview (happened with me). Also it will show how you handled your problems and what can be expected from you.

Apart form technical expertise, interviewers, would assess your overall profile / soft skills during the session. Real life examples of your involvement in the works, what was good, what went wrong & all your learning outcomes is key to show your interest & enthusiasm in the industry. Be yourself and have a positive attitude.

You should share your vision and goals to the interviewer so that they can also see the bigger picture clearly. Also let them know the experience you've gained in the past jobs.

The most important thing is, be yourself. How? Select and use the best word to describe yourself. Make sure there are two way communication during the interview. Structure your story and make it clear to be understood.

Fill up yourself with full of positive energy in all perspectives. The way you express the words, the tone and rhythm and face reaction. Engage with the interviewer all the time. Most important is, answer correctly, don't change the topics. Give some good and bad examples.

Be confident about what yo say. Don't try to exaggerate things, be real and be positive about your role as the future CM. You need to show your decision-making power, this is what you are going to do during your role as CM. Decision-making, and not being influenced by anyone easily would be a good attitude.

During the interview, the best things to highlight the projects you have handled successfully. You discuss the challenges faced and resolved and implemented in projects. The main thing is to check that your STEEKQ (Skills, Talents, Education, Experience, knowledge, and Quality) matches to extraordinary needs of the company. This will help to make the job opportunity percentage higher. Sharing about your team player role, collaboration with team members, Leadership skills, and open communication that leads to project success in the past projects. "Be positive" while attending the interview, focus on real facts, not the built things.

Be confident and show the passion through your answers. Always be positive. And let them know your skills of a problem solver, team player.

Last and the most is you should always prepare and practice most for the position you are going to apply in the company. Go through your resume and check everything written is clear and true to the point.

Before even applying, consider if the position is really a good fit for you. Most people can learn the hard skills fairly quickly, but people skills are the most important ones in construction. You need to enjoy helping people grow and manage conflicts well to thrive in a construction management position.

Be real, no one is perfect. Don't pressure yourself you can do everything. there is a reason why we have a project team, not a project superman. be realistic and be confident.

Remember, you only get one shot, one chance at the job interview, but you can practice as many times as you need to deliver the perfect pitch during the interview. So, practice your presentation diligently to ensure you make the most of this opportunity.

You have to win the session by explaining to them that, what is the difference between you and other candidates. What is the value that you have,that will be good for the new company and for the entire team members.
