You’re preparing for a brand management job interview. What are the best ways to get ready?

A brand manager should know the consumer of the brand by heart. If I had limited time to a brand management interview, rather than spending too much time knowing the company, I'll just go out and try to meet/talk to real customers of the brand and understand the consumer insights.

Most critical.. get to know the TG! - Evaluate the product offering from a consumer's point of view and do some mid-funnel exploration yourself. - "Ask around" - it's amazing how many surprising answers we get when we ask our peers and industry acquaintances. Make use of it, ask. - Make use of the resources available at large (check search volumes trends at Google etc.) - Put yourself in the shoes of position that you are getting interviewed for. De-construct the campaigns, brand, consumer funnel analytically. - Bring in secret sauce. Think on the line of 'what else can you do?'

It’s good to research about the dress code of the company before the interview, to simply be aware. However in my opinion, classy formal wear is a safe choice that never goes out of style. And I am sure a company with a more relaxed dress code won’t judge you for dressing formally and professionally.

Try to smile a lot and be authentic and relaxed. You should also prepare questions. What is important to you in your job? You should check what your specific tasks would be, how the hierarchies and coordination work. Whether you have home office and how much. In Order to find out if the job would make you happy . If you have worked for well-known brands, mention this and the successes you have achieved here. And how you did it. So you convince that you are competent.
