I always do my research! Learning what’s important to, tangible and measurable from my client/audiences perspective. Start here; often we’re saying the same thing, just speaking a different language.

Start with a really clear 50 word introduction which covers who, what, where, when, how and why. This exercise will compel you to articulate headline information with enough detail to engage your stakeholders and reassure them you’re good at communicating complex information which is a very valuable skill.
-
To make technical concepts more relatable, share customer stories. For instance, instead of saying "visualizing KPIs in real time," say, "My head of sales received an email or text when our largest customer’s order was placed on hold!" This approach makes the idea more tangible and easier to understand.
