Monitoring these metrics generally provides insights into the efficiency and success of the recruitment process. This can differ from business development or managed services roles which would reflect performance, service delivery and should be aligned to key client specific metrics

E muito importante ressaltar que as métricas relacionadas à aquisi??o de novas habilidades, adapta??o a mudan?as e desenvolvimento contínuo ajudam a construir equipes mais versáteis e capacitadas, impulsionando o sucesso a longo prazo.

I think this all depends on the company's strategy and the functional objectives of the department. More importantly, your people's academic and experience backgrounds need to align with what the team really needs. I have always recommended enrolling your people in renowned, valuable certifications, which help them acquire skills and simultaneously get certified and feel valued, rather than just taking boring courses. This requires more investment supported by your company, but I believe it pays off in the long run.

There are factors to consider when including behaviors in your performance management plan. One of the most critical is the ability to assess performance objectively. Since it's not as black and white as performance versus a revenue goal, one option is for leaders to partner with their teams and align on what's expected. For instance, is pre-call planning vital to a successful sales call? If so, what does effective planning look like? What resources should be used? How often should pre-call planning take place? Then, hold team members accountable for what they agreed to. As always, leaders should provide immediate feedback while the behaviors are fresh in the employee's mind, allowing them to replicate or make changes before the next call.

While goals and objectives are the key factors in teh performance management to have a transparent process focussing on Results and Outcomes is primary. The team/members should know what changes/impacts they are creating in the product/process and what outcomes they are having based on the results. This will be a primary motivating factor for all the individuals to do that extra mile.

Beyond mere measurement, understanding the cause-and-effect relationship between management efforts and results enables the identification of effective practices and areas for refinement. This holistic approach ensures that performance management is not just a procedural exercise but a dynamic process contributing tangible value. Regular analysis allows for agility, permitting organizations to adapt and optimize their strategies in response to changing goals, benchmarks, and market dynamics, ultimately fostering sustained success.

Feedback from stakeholders or clients help identify areas of focus for a team. This directly help in employing course correction measures as well as developing strategies for the future. It's essential to look at various methods for collecting this feedback - take care to ensure integrity of data and anonymity (if important). Also keep in mind the various geographies and audience type in focus to ensure proper coverage. Lastly, do not forget about the informal feedback reaching you through social media posts, emails, or messages.

This metric shows how well team member can cope with change and how agile and innovative they are. My views are: 1. Adapt and innovate your performance management activities to overcome challenges and seize opportunities, using tools like brainstorming, design thinking, etc. 3. Track other metrics that measure the outcomes and impacts of your performance management activities, such as customer satisfaction, employee engagement, etc.

Self refection is key for team member's performance. To look back and assess what you have done, the impact it has had, this is cornerstone to bettering your performance. At our consultancy we find that a weekly rhythm helps realise what your wins have been and for your manager to give you feedback.

When formally managing an employee's performance, it's critical to remember that we are still partnering with a team member. Sure, we may be frustrated by a lack of initiative or skillsets, but our job as leaders is to support, coach, and provide feedback that puts the employee back on track to success. That said, there may come a point when we've exhausted all efforts, and it's time to move forward with a termination. One of the greatest compliments we can receive from an employee who just learned they've been fired is to be told, "Thank you." They most likely won't be grateful they've lost their job. Instead, they'll appreciate that you treated them fairly and respectfully.
