Ask the low person on the totem pole. They generally have great ideas for solving problems. And they’re generally not overly complicated

I prefer to minimize the number of meetings in a construction project. As a project manager, I will maintain close coordination with the construction manager, project leaders. I plan to hold one focused meeting with them, guided by a clear agenda that we will prepare thoroughly in advance. Additionally, I will establish a WhatsApp group for the managers to ensure seamless communication. On-site, the site supervisors will hold daily meetings with their respective construction managers to address immediate issues. The meeting with the key managers is critical to the project's success if it is conducted effectively, with well-defined KPIs. This approach will ensure the success of both the project and the communication process.

If you are on-site, be sure to walk through the office and make your rounds to keep communication open. This is a practice that has helped my projects move along well. It's amazing what you find out just by walking by and saying hi!

One of the most important initial documents of any project is the official correspondence & communication procedure that must be prepared and must be clearly explained to all parties involved in the project at the kick-off meeting. This procedure must also be monitored regularly during the project implementation and any violation of it must be avoided. The secretariat of the project management office is responsible for this monitoring and supervision. In the weekly and monthly reports, a table (log) of all correspondence, documents and reports and minutes must be included, stating all relevant information including number, date, subject, issuer, recipients , and for MOM, the participating parties must be clearly informed.

Productive weekly team meetings giving everyone a chance to have their say. Then deciding on the highest priority tasks and understanding that this means not everyone gets what they want that week.
