One practice I've found helpful is establishing team rituals, like everyone taking a synchronized lunch break, even when working remotely. This prevents interruptions during breaks and helps avoid coming back to a flood of requests. Another idea is to allow the team to log off early one Friday each month for a bit of extra downtime. It's also crucial to set clear boundaries with clients around work hours and deliverables. When you offer your team flexibility, they’re often more willing to go the extra mile and put in the extra effort when needed.

To manage client needs and protect my team from burnout, I prioritize open communication and regular check-ins to gauge workloads and pressures. We categorize tasks by urgency to focus on what truly drives value, using a flexible work arrangement to reduce stress. I also encourage professional development and team bonding to maintain morale. Balancing client demands with team well-being requires adaptability and a commitment to sustaining a supportive work environment.

Urgent client demands would be delegated among team members that have both strong capabilities and willingness to success. These people are also high in LOC or Locus Of Control. They are self started and are more than willing to ensure organzational business activities are achieved. They make things happen in the organisation. Tasks would be shared with everyone knowing their quota contribution. The team will also be made to celebrate wins no matter how small to motivate others as well and to ginger and energize those who have achieved. The manager would lead meetings that identity achievements versus the time gone on client projects.
