However, before selecting metrics, it's important to define the problem and what we aim to achieve. For instance, if we have a high budget, prioritizing recall over precision might be beneficial. Conversely, if we have limited resources or offers for customers, prioritizing precision could be more suitable. By aligning metrics with specific objectives, we can better assess model performance and make informed decisions about model selection and optimization strategies.

With over a decade of experience in ML, there were many instances I had lost motivation. The drivers of this in common was 1. Unexpected outcome of model 2. No support from key stakeholders 3. It takes more time to see the actual impact of model post Business adoption 4. There is always a problem. For eg: In Forecasting models factors affecting the y changes more often 5. Split team by opinion. "Result" drives motivation:: Constant research for right solution always ends up getting at least decent results which drives motivation. "Innovative solutions": Leveraging latest capabilities introduced always enhances the outcomes, this drives enthusiasm at its best. "IMPACT":: Think big, build a solution that serves to larger purpose/audience.

For me, Taking a course on Quantum Computing was enough to get me back on track. It made me realize that AI was once like QC and this is how tech moves. It can be exhausting to keep up and this is exactly the challenge the "googly eyed you" signed up for!

Maybe go out, It might just be that you haven't taken a break for a long time. Plan out a weekend holiday or if you don't have time for it go out with any one of your friends for a movie ( it can be the worst movie, but with your friends, anything will work!) The problem you had, or any blockage you had will automatically resolve itself when you come. Trust me you will thank me for that! ( I don't take guarantees for the movie though! ??)
