Of course, you can ask the mentor to share whatever they have, and you will just sit back and relax. But trust me, this will lead to nowhere in the conversation. First thing to do is reach out to people who are your peers in your field and people that are a title above you. Doesn't necessarily have to be within your company, in fact reaching out to people outside of your company will expand your network. Ask them who mentored them and suggestions on what their criteria was for finding someone and of course any recommendations. Last don't be opposed to paying for someone. Look at as an investment in your career. When you hire someone they work for you and you will get more guidance and attention then if someone is volunteering their time. Also you know they will give you their best effort as they will be wanting to use you as a reference. Something to think about!

Conoce en profundidad el contenido de cada programa y quién será la persona que conducirá el mismo. Asegúrate de conocer el enfoque y cuáles serán los resultados que obtendrás al finalizar o la transformación que transitarás gracias a cada programa. Luego, complementa la información e impresión que hayas recibido de ese encuentro, con referencias que puedas pedir a personas que ya lo hayan realizado en el pasado.

Die Beziehung zu einem Mentor kann so wertvoll sein. Es ist immer wichtig, am Anfang bereits die Erwartungen an eine Frequenz, Themen und Dauer zu kl?ren. Das hilft, danach von beiden Seiten das Committment zu erhalben. Für mich war es immer hilfreich, sich sogar schriftlich diese Ziele, Erwartungen und Dauer festzuhalten. Danach kann man auch zu einem gewissen Zeitpunkt wieder schauen, wie es für beide noch stimmt.

For example when I was a recruitment coordinator I wanted to become a recruiter, my mentor was a recruitment manager who was able to guide me through the steps (alongside my direct manager).
