When I started 25V, diversity of perspectives was essential to our mandate. I took these steps, I wrote a manifesto to explain our vision, which reflects your firm's values and goals. This manifesto guided our strategic choices and hiring. We then sought out candidates of experience and background. We attempted to craft archetypes. It is not perfect, and we are continuing to learn to improve. Implementing these strategies will integrate diversity into your firm's core and propel innovation and long-term growth.

If you try to have diversity intentionally, then achieving is pretty tough. Diversity is about the channels through which you meet people, the topics you will talk about, the different needs and challenges you tackle, etc. To build a successful VC firm: Less is more. You need to have rich resources and you should also know how to balance and maintain the connections between different dots in your network ecosystem.

Investing in diverse sectors, geographies, and founder backgrounds can uncover unique opportunities and contribute to economic inclusion by supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs.
