When we first launched our goal fulfillment program, I was wearing different hats: lead coach, executive coach, life coach, workshop facilitator, even event organizer! As we gained more clients, we engaged more coaches. This is a Win-Win-Win: (a) clients getting dedicated time and energy from each of their coaches, (b) my fellow coaches having the opportunity to coach clients whom I enrolled into the program; they also receive mentoring from me! and (c) I focusing my energy on the role that I chose to focus on: facilitating interventions in our plenary sessions. This is most important. Collaboration is better than competition. When you are a life coach, you help people to open their minds about new experiences. If you don't keep an open mind, helping others is not possible. When you interact, collaborate with a lot of other coaches, you gain perspectives.

You cannot do the work, if you don't do the work on yourself. To be the best coach you need to be committed to sitting on the other side. To understand what it is to be coached, to be challenged, to work through your own imposter syndrome, limiting beliefs and shift whatever fixed mindset comes up into a growth mindset. This is invaluable to know what is possible and to show what can be done.

If as a coach I cannot embody growth, how can I inspire the same in others? Whether we like it or not, clients come believing if coach can do can they. (That's why personal stories become so inspirational) Learning constantly, updating oneself in the field of work, finding best practices and upgrading them with resources from across the world, add to a coaches profile and hence make it attractive to clients.

A coach without a coach is not a coach. How can you really talk honestly about the values of coaching if you haven't done the work yourself. You can only go as deep with others as you've gone yourself o working on your development is essential. My coaching abilities have transformed since working with coaches.

Investing in your own growth is essential to stay ahead of the curve in the life coaching industry. I also agree that investing in your own personal and professional development, such as taking courses, hiring mentors, or joining masterminds, can be incredibly beneficial. By doing so, you can set an example for your clients and show them how committed you are to your own success.

I have heard a fellow coach say they didn’t have a coach because they are a coach. I was shocked. The business of coaching is the business of growth. Growth begets growth. If a coach shows their clients that they are about investing in their own growth and success that will indeed serve as a contagion for those clients (and potentials) who are reluctant to do the same.

Taking your business to the next level will require that you do the work to prepare for an influx of business. Consider: 1. Having systems in place for emailing, scheduling, and payments 2. Working on skills that will enhance your ability to deliver great service (communication, customer service). 3. Be willing to give away information for free. It’s the application they are investing in. The information to change lives should be made available to all. 4. Find ways to become part of or build communities of people how you can learn from. They can refer or will be a client. 5. Write a book. Leverage it for speaking engagements, content, talking points, program development, and lead generation. I hope these help!

Never assume that anything critical is an attack; it can be a very good source of insight that can help you improve eventually.
