In my experience, it’s crucial to use analytics as a guide while listening to the human stories that provide depth. For example, while data might flag a performance issue, conversations with employees reveal the root cause. The goal is to be data-driven but people-focused, making decisions that are both strategic and empathetic.

Consult Subject Matter Experts: Engage managers, team leads, and other key stakeholders who are closer to the day-to-day realities of the workforce. Their qualitative feedback can offer insights into what the data is missing or where there may be nuances.
