You're in a leadership role and you just experienced a failure. What do you do next?

I see first is to accept the failure. When we accept failure that character makes us lead as an owner and this mindset shift is key to the next course of actions we take. Don't overanalyze why etc. but still figure out the key learnings from the failure so that we don't repeat the same failure. Reach out to a mentor or someone who is your trusted advisor and seek an independent view to tackle such failures in a more efficient way going forward and also try to find solutions to such scenarios from them. Once actions are agreed upon take steps to execute them, and seek continuous feedback to tweak, if needed, keep monitoring the progress and enjoy the milestones. Failures are steps that lead toward ultimate success.

Leadership is as much about navigating failures as it is about steering successes. When confronted with failure, transparency is key.
