The most effective way to learn about the company is to get it directly from them. 1. Call them as client. Inquire about their products and services from production to customer service, and/or; 2. Connect with staff. Through LinkedIn, reach out with someone who works for the company, ideally in the role you are applying for or the same level. (Ask advise if possible.) Ask nicely, not seemingly interrogating.

2 Review your resume

Your resume is your first impression on the employer, so make sure it’s clear, concise, and error-free. Highlight your relevant skills, achievements, and experience in corporate accounting, using quantifiable metrics and action verbs. For example, instead of saying “Responsible for preparing financial statements”, say “Prepared and analyzed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP”. Also, make sure your resume matches the job description and the company’s culture and values.

Exaggerate your resume. Many people might disagree, however, getting a job is a competition. You need to standout amongst applicants. Don't say, "Responsible for Purchase Order", say "Closely managing Order Processing of local and foreign purchases". Remember, exaggeration is not same as falsification. Just being creative.

5 Dress professionally
