When working in modern CI/CD pipelines, where several builds are available for distinct purposes (i.e., production, development, etc.), deployment risks can be mitigated by ensuring that dev and staging builds function as intended. One of the most important considerations is enabling access to the API from each deployment in a parameterized fashion. There are generally one or more places where endpoint or data transfer choices will not be the same for development and production servers. These tend to be housed in .env or equivalent files on the server.
